The TheraVine™ Product Promise:

The products have not been tested on animals: we never have and never will test products on animals. For this reason, you will notice our very own cruelty-free bunny emblem on the latest packaging.  Our ranges are produced with absolute integrity so you can rest assured that you are performing and experiencing treatments with nothing short of the very best.

We follow eco-conscious operations through using up-cycled ingredients of all grape extracts and walnut shell powders in our products since starting in 2004.

We further aim to minimise the environmental impact in all areas of our business, whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality. We assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce.

All our naturally obtained ingredients are sourced from reputable companies across the world who make it their business to strive to ensure the sustainability of plants and species from which their ingredients are sourced. The resulting ingredients are grown, processed, and distributed in such a way that they do not harm the environment.

We evaluate each supplier’s sustainability in eco-friendly efforts and support companies and ingredients that have received eco-friendly awards.

We continue striving to work with ingredients that are eco-friendly and/or biodegradable. Formulation development is an ongoing process in this regard.  Sustainable vegetable-based inks are used in certain printing processes, and paper-based materials are obtained from sustainable sources FSC-Certified.

Packaging is recyclable, where end users are also encouraged to recycle all items after use based on the appropriate logos on the packaging.

Quality Assurance

Each and every ingredient, both raw/base and actives undergo stability testings, preservation testing, toxicology, and safety assessment testings.

All the raw/base ingredients, as well as actives we use in TheraVine™, are individually tested for skin compatibility as well as toxicologically tested.  We only use very high-quality ingredients that have been through extensive tests.

Skin Creamery:

 The Skin Creamery ethos is to be kind to the earth, and kind to your skin. 

• All of our products are endorsed by Beauty Without Cruelty and are 100% vegan.
• Our products do not contain any soaps / SLS , synthetic fragrances and parabens  and our natural ingredients are soothing for sensitive skins.
• Glass is a safer and more sustainable packaging option than plastic, or even recycled plastic. There is no danger of chemicals leaking from the plastic into the product making it safer for your health. Glass is widely recycled and has an infinite life cycle meaning the same glass can be recycled again and again. 

Bree Probiotic Skincare:

Bree is committed to its core values. Every skincare product is vegan friendly, cruelty free and no product is tested on animals. We have a deep sense that we need to preserve the environment. Every skincare product's potential impact on the environment, from the glass bottles to the FSC approved packaging, is considered.

Sun Skin:   

• The concentration of the ingredients in the SUN SKIN range is formulated in coherence with the delicate & sensitive skins.
• SUN SKIN uses Euxyl 9010 as a preservative – it is safe and child friendly.  SUN SKIN sunscreen doesn’t contain Paraben or Phenoxyethanol.
• SUN SKIN Sunscreen contains the antioxidant Vitamins E, ‘Ubiquinone’. This antioxidant protects the skin from free-radicals and UV rays.
• SUN SKIN sunscreens consist of Organic filters which are carbon-based molecules. It absorbs the UV-Rays, oscillates & neutralizes the rays

Simply Bee:

Simply Bee’s products offer all natural handmade products, free from harmful chemicals, synthetic fragrances and parabens. Making it safe and environmentally friendly.  

With Helena van der Westhuizen (owner and founder) being allergic to most cosmetics with synthetic ingredients and harsh preservatives, she has done extensive research, trials and studying of the bees and their products.

This led to the beginning of Simply Bee, a range of natural, organic products for both the body and the home. We are very fortunate to have our beehives in Fynbos rich areas around Hopefield where there is no commercial farming within the immediate vicinity.  Therefore, their honey, beeswax and propolis are all 100% organic. Their bees are not used for commercial pollination either, eliminating the negative effects of exposure to chemicals. Their hives are all placed on stands, which also makes them badger-friendly.

Simply Bee strives to support local suppliers, so their carrier and essential oil ingredients are bought from reputable local companies. 

Natural ingredients are profoundly effective. They stimulate your senses, are better for the environment and beneficial to your overall well-being.  Natural ingredients nurture the skin with wholesome nutrients that are familiar to the body’s chemistry, thus working in harmony with the body.  Simply Bee believes that natural ingredients must come from a renewable and plentiful resources found in nature, yet with absolutely no petroleum compounds.

Equally important is how those ingredients are processed. Helena van der Westhuizen (owner and founder) controls the manufacturing of their products. Any processing, including distillation, condensation, extraction, steaming, and hydrolysis are kept to a minimum.

Her goal is to maximize purity without negative effects on the ingredients – simply put: to keep natural ingredients natural. This ensures full retention of their beneficial properties.

SLS and SLES are both surfactants added to many health and beauty products to create foam and offer a cleaning action. They may cause many issues such as irritation and sensitivity.
